WE ARE EXTREMELY PROUD OF OUR YOUNG TALENT AT AYC
Over the past few years AYC have been concentrating on the future. This is reflected in our Youth Training Programme headed up by Senior Instructor & Antiguan Olympian Karl James and his team. The results speak for themselves, and we are very proud of our Antiguan youngsters who have gone on to perform extremely well on the International stage. Please support them as they all have the ability to go onto bigger and better things to make Antigua even more proud of them!
MARIA ELDRIDGE
Maria was born in Antigua in 2003.
Maria’s long term goal is to compete in the World Championships.
Internationally she has competed in:
Puerto Rico International Regatta 2013 – 6th from 27 sailors
BVI International Regatta 2013 – 7th out of 30 sailors
Guadeloupe International Regatta 2013 – 3rd out of 7 sailors
Caribbean Dinghy Championships 2013 – 3rd out of 4 sailors
BVI International Regatta 2014 – 3rd out of 10 sailors
Puerto Rico International Regatta 2015 – 6th out of 15 sailors
Puerto Rico International Regatta 2016 – 15th out of 30 sailors
St. Maarten International Regatta 2016 – 12th out of 30 sailors
BVI International Regatta 2016 – 14th out of 23 sailors
North American Optimist Championships 2016 – 23rd out of 48 sailors in the Red Fleet.
