Rocco Falcone and the Luna Rossa Youth Team have won the UniCredit Americas cup* In the semi-finals, the Luna Rossa Youth Team went head-to-head with the top three America’s Cup youth teams and the top three invited youth teams—Sweden, Spain, and Australia— ultimately coming out on top.
But after the final match race today, the Luna Rossa youth team has clinched the 1st place trophy against the American Magic youth team.
Conditions were full on with 12-16 kts with a formidable sea state but the team’s exceptional boat handling and ability to stay calm under pressure allowed them to come out on top.
Antigua’s Rocco Falcone will celebrate this historic win at prize giving here in Barcelona, Spain.
