“February’s Mini Regatta was challenging for all concerned.
29 boats turned out with the Optimists being the largest fleet. The Zests and Fevas came from the National Sailing Academe, an excellent demonstration that that the two organisations can, and do, compliment each other.
Although the wind remained steady direction-wise we had any thing from 8 to near 25 knots in squalls with heavy rain, somewhat unexpected weather for this time of year. The sailors handled the conditions like old hands and true kudos has to go to the scribes on the Committee Boat who managed keep accurate and dry results.
Thanks to the Race Committee, Karl, the safety boats and especially the parents who continue to support us and their youngsters.”
