POWER BOATING

Antigua Yacht Club has been at the centre of many on the water events since 1968.

Our members and families enjoy the truly welcoming atmosphere and the club’s facilities.

The common denominator is a love of the sea and boats, sailing yachts or power boats.

We even have a few motor yacht skippers as well.

Our greatest asset is having the ABSAR Rescue Boat 2 alongside  our member’s dock, on call 24 hrs a day channel 16 VHF or tel +1.268.5621234.

Member’s powerboats have the benefit of easy access to any of the island’s beaches and in protected water on the western side they can water ski, wake board and snorkel.

Members also have sport’s fishing boats and go off shore in search of Tuna, Wahoo, Dorado and Kingfish.

Every year there is a Poker Run fun rally for all islanders with Power Boats, big or small. This is a great opportunity to “get out there” in the company of like minded speedsters, and enjoy the camaraderie and “luck of the deal”!

We also have The Francis Nunes Jr. Memorial Tournament and Seafood Festival annually. Come and celebrate, fish, and have fun during this one day tournament that takes place at Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour.
